Sometimes the pettiest postgame jabs are the simplest, and the Los Angeles Chargers made the most of theirs in Week 10.
The Chargers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 25-10 on Sunday Night Football. Los Angeles’ defense limited Pittsburgh to 221 yards and kept the Steelers off the scoreboard until 2:57 remained. The Chargers intercepted Aaron Rodgers twice and recovered a fumble. Justin Herbert threw for 220 yards and a touchdown, and Ladd McConkey finished with four catches for 107 yards and a score.
A large contingent of Steelers fans brought their Terrible Towels to SoFi Stadium. The Chargers used Dipper Pines, a character from Gravity Falls, in a social post mocking the towels, captioning the image, “This is worthless.”
Here are the top NFL trolls from Week 10.
New York Jets 27, Cleveland Browns 20
The Jets notched their second straight win at home despite gaining just 169 yards of offense. A 42-yard catch-and-run by Breece Hall early in the fourth quarter set up a late field goal and preserved the victory. The Jets’ 42 net passing yards were their fewest in a win since 1973, per ESPN Research. After beating Cincinnati on Oct. 26 for their first win, the Jets followed up by lampooning the entire state of Ohio in a postgame tease, tweeting simply “back to back.”
Chicago Bears 24, New York Giants 20
Trailed 20-10 with 10:19 left, the Bears outscored the Giants 14-0 to complete the comeback. Caleb Williams threw one touchdown and rushed for another, connecting with Rome Odunze for a two-yard TD and then rushing 17 yards for the game-winner. The Bears hyped the win with a clip of safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and captioned it, “Start spreading the news,” nodding to Frank Sinatra’s New York anthem.
New England Patriots 28, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23
The Patriots extended their win streak to seven with a road win over Tampa Bay. Drake Maye passed for 270 yards and two scores, while rookie TreVeyon Henderson ran for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Baker Mayfield threw for 273 yards and three TDs for the Buccaneers. New England leaned into “The Brady Bowl” jokes and celebrated the victory with a simple “Brady Bowl W” post.
Indianapolis Colts 31, Atlanta Falcons 25 (OT)
In Berlin, Jonathan Taylor rushed for 244 yards and three touchdowns, marking another dominant performance in a season full of big games. The Colts poked fun at the Falcons with a minimalist post — an image of a floating feather alongside the final score.
Seattle Seahawks 44, Arizona Cardinals 22
Seattle blew the game open early, jumping to a 21-0 first-quarter lead and 35-0 in the second. The Seahawks scored 30-plus points in the first half for the third time this season and returned two fumble recoveries for touchdowns. Seattle leaned into the sweep of divisional rival Arizona with posts that read “Déjà vu, AZ,” “Get swept,” and “Welcome to oblivion.”
Los Angeles Rams 42, San Francisco 49ers 26
The Rams opened with three consecutive touchdown drives and rolled past the 49ers. Matthew Stafford threw for 280 yards and four touchdowns, and Kyren Williams added 73 rushing yards and two scores. After the Week 5 meeting produced a troll from San Francisco, the Rams again targeted the 49ers’ mascot, Sourdough Sam, posting a meme-like graphic with the caption “winner winner chicken dinner.”
Detroit Lions 44, Washington Commanders 22
Detroit piled up 546 total yards and recorded its eighth 40-plus-point game since last season, the most in the NFL. Jahmyr Gibbs had 172 total yards and three touchdowns. The Lions summed up their win in a post with the caption: “Commanding W.”
