Playoff weeks are here — every start and waiver add can swing a matchup. If you need short-term upside or steady production down the stretch, consider these lightly rostered players who are earning bigger roles and delivering fantasy value now.
Point guard targets
– Scoot Henderson, Portland (14.5%): Four straight games with double-digit scoring, averaging 20.3 PPG, about 3.8 made threes and 3.0 APG in roughly 24.8 minutes off the bench over that stretch. Good source of scoring and threes in deeper formats.
– Ajay Mitchell, Oklahoma City (37.8%): Back from a long injury absence, he’s totaled 16.7 PPG and 4.0 APG in 28.7 minutes across his first three games. If he keeps that workload, he’s worth an add for assist and scoring help.
Shooting guard targets
– Quentin Grimes, Philadelphia (38.1%): With Philly’s stars sidelined at times, Grimes has become a primary option — at least 23 points in four of his last six games and an eye-popping 29.5 PPG over his most recent two. High scoring upside if the minutes hold.
– Cody Williams, Utah (3.8%): Emerging in Utah’s rotation, Williams has six straight games in double figures, recorded a points/rebounds double-double, mixed in multi-assist games and exploded for a career-best 34 points with seven rebounds and seven assists. Low roster rate with multi-category upside.
Small forward targets
– Brice Sensabaugh, Utah (25.6%): Started four straight and scored at least 21 in each, averaging 25.8 PPG while hitting roughly 4.3 threes per game, plus 3.3 rebounds and about 1.8 combined steals/blocks. Immediate scoring punch and three-point production.
– Gui Santos, Golden State (26.3%): A steady contributor while starting six straight — about 17.5 PPG, 6.7 RPG and 5.0 APG over that run. Useful for rebounds and assists from the wing.
Power forward targets
– Jarace Walker, Indiana (17.4%): Since becoming a starter (Feb. 11) he’s averaged 15.0 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 3.9 APG and 1.9 made threes in 31.2 minutes across 14 games. Strong multi-category filler with three-point upside for a big.
– Jerami Grant, Portland (46.8%): Portland’s most consistent scorer when healthy — 20+ points in nine of his last 11 games and averaging nearly 2.9 made threes in that span. High scoring and three-point floor.
Center targets
– Wendell Carter Jr., Orlando (30.2%): A stable fantasy center who’s bumped production recently — about 15.0 PPG and 10.0 RPG over his last three, plus roughly three combined threes, blocks and steals per game. Reliable rebounds and occasional threes/blocks.
– Maxime Raynaud, Sacramento (33.1%): Either 20+ points or 10+ rebounds in 10 of his last 13 games, averaging 15.6 PPG and 9.7 RPG. Paired with Precious Achiuwa (40.9%), he helps form a productive Kings frontcourt for rebounds and scoring.
Bottom line: prioritize adds based on your category needs. Sensabaugh and Cody Williams are top high-upside plays for scoring and threes; Walker and Raynaud bolster rebounds and multi-category production; Henderson and Mitchell help at PG; Grimes and Grant provide scoring. Monitor minutes and injury news, and pick the player who best fills your roster’s weakest categories for the playoff push.
