Several notable players across Europe could be available on free transfers this summer, presenting potential targets for English clubs.
Robert Lewandowski, 37, remains a top performer for Barcelona, but the club has not yet confirmed whether he will extend his stay beyond the summer. Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović, 26, who is currently sidelined with a calf problem, has 90 Serie A goals to his name and contract negotiations appear to have stalled. Germany winger Julian Brandt, 29, is leaving Borussia Dortmund after more than 300 appearances, while countryman Leon Goretzka, 31, is set to end his time at Bayern Munich.
Spain right-back Óscar Mingueza, 26, has not agreed new terms at Celta Vigo. Morocco left-back Souffian El Karouani, 25, has impressed this season with 16 assists for Utrecht. Former Chelsea centre-back Malang Sarr, 27, is out of contract at Ligue 1 title-challengers Lens, although the French club reportedly hold a one-year option.
Other ex-Premier League names who could be looking for new clubs include Lens team-mate Allan Saint-Maximin, 29; Al-Ittihad midfielder Fabinho, 32; and Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rüdiger, 33 — though Spanish reports suggest Rüdiger may yet sign a one-year extension.
