1. These terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of netsportsnews.com and anything made available through it (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. They incorporate our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, each of which forms part of this agreement.
2. Changes
We may amend these terms by posting a revised version with a new date. Changes take effect when posted and apply to use of the Site after that point; where a change is material we will give reasonable prominent notice. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
3. Who may use the Site
You must be at least 16 and legally capable of entering a binding agreement. You must not use the Site where doing so would breach the law that applies to you.
4. Odds, previews and projections are not betting advice
This clause matters more than any other on this page. We publish previews, projections and, at times, odds reported from third parties. None of it is betting advice, a tip, or a prediction of any outcome. It is editorial judgement about a sporting event, and sporting events are uncertain by definition.
We are not a bookmaker, a betting exchange, an affiliate of one, or a licensed gambling operator, and we do not accept or place wagers. Odds quoted here are reported as at the time of writing, are set by third parties and move constantly; we do not warrant that any figure is current or available to you.
Gambling is age-restricted and is unlawful in some jurisdictions. It carries a risk of financial loss, and it can be addictive. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose, check the law that applies where you are, and if gambling is causing you harm, contact a support service in your country. We accept no liability for any loss arising from a wager placed by you, however it was informed.
5. Reporting, not advice
Everything else on the Site is published for general information. Nothing on it is legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, it is not tailored to you, and it creates no professional relationship.
6. Licence to use our content
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and read the Site. That licence does not permit you to:
- reproduce, republish or redistribute substantial parts of the Site;
- use the Site or any part of it commercially without our written permission;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content, including results, fixtures and statistics, by hand or by automated means;
- use the Site or its content to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine learning model without our written permission;
- frame or mirror the Site, present it as your own, or remove any attribution from it.
Short quotations for reporting, criticism or comment are welcome with a clear credit and a link to the original article.
7. Acceptable use
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or any connected system, interfere with its operation, impose an unreasonable load on it, introduce malicious code, circumvent any access control or rate limit, or use the Site to send unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing or deceptive material.
8. Intellectual property and third-party rights
The text on this Site is our work and remains our property, protected by copyright and other rights. Photographs and footage may be licensed from third parties and carry their own terms; a credit transfers no right in that material to you. Club names, crests, competition names and broadcaster marks belong to their owners and appear here for identification and reporting only — their use implies no affiliation with, endorsement by or licence from any club, league, governing body or rights holder. Where we quote another outlet, the attribution is in the article and the original reporting belongs to them.
9. Material you send us
If you send us a tip, a press release, a photograph, a correction or any other material, you confirm it is yours to send and does not infringe anyone's rights, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish and edit it in connection with the Site. We may decline, edit or remove anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or off topic.
10. Accuracy and corrections
Reporting describes events as they were understood at the time of publication, and we correct errors of fact on the page itself when they are pointed out. Squads, fixtures and transfer positions change, sometimes within hours. An article reflects the position at its date, we do not undertake to update every page, and its presence here is not a representation that its contents remain current.
11. Third-party content and links
We link to and quote third parties. Quoting a person or organisation reports what they said; it does not endorse it. We do not control linked sites and are not responsible for their content, products, services, accuracy, security or privacy practices.
12. Availability
The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free or secure, and we may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of it at any time without notice.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all representations, warranties, conditions and terms, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness or non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary loss, nor for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated saving or data, nor for any gambling loss, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or any decision made in reliance on it — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Site, or your infringement of a third party's rights.
16. Suspension
We may restrict or withdraw your access at any time, without notice, if we reasonably consider that you have breached these terms.
17. General
If any provision is held unenforceable the remainder continues in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights under these terms; we may assign ours to a successor to the publication. These terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the Site.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of them, including non-contractual disputes, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
19. Contact
Questions about these terms go to the address on our contact page.
